A Masonic Journey
Herein lays important information for new masons and those who are seeking more information on what is Freemasonry.
When I first looked into what exactly was this fraternal order of Freemasonry, I was most sceptical as to whether this would be the right thing to do. My journey started over three years ago whilst I was reading the book, by Matthew Reilly, “Seven Ancient Wonders”. Whereas the book was a work of fiction, like most good books there is a hint of fact buried within to provide the story credibility. Being the inquisitive type of person that I am, and a techno-geek, I went straight to Google and starting looking up everything I could find on the topic of Freemasonry.
If you type the keywords “freemasonry, free mason, mason, masonic history, masonic degrees, etc” into Google you will find hundreds of thousands of websites on this topic. Maybe one day this site will be amongst the many. I found a lot of information speaking on the great services it provides to our communities, but I also found a lot of sites advising that it is an Evil group of Satanists. Which to believe? Interestingly though, most of the anti-Masonic sites are all saying pretty much the exact same things; as though they have been copied from each other. Not a single one of the anti sites have been able to provide any evidentiary information in which to support their claims; and those that reference another un-referenced site doesn’t provide any credibility to their allegations. I’m an analyst and a sceptic… I want facts and evidence!
Herein lays replications of information I have retrieved from multiple sites, books, newspaper articles and other sources for information on Freemasonry. Where I am now a Mason, I am documenting the information that I have been able to ascertain as accurate and unbiased. I also intend to include information on sites which are, for the most part, anti-masonic. I do this to provide you, the reader, with all the relevant information so that you can make your own informed decision.
